Harald Heilmann (1924–2018) was a German composer who studied in Leipzig and Berlin after the Second World War and later continued his education in the Federal Republic of Germany. He worked as a lecturer, conductor, pianist and professor at the music academies in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. He worked as a freelance composer from 1958 onwards and was awarded the Johann Wenzel Stamitz Prize and the Federal Cross of Merit.
