The sleigh ride You can hear sleigh bells and the crack of whips. The piece tells the musical story of a cosy night-time sleigh ride in a snowy landscape to a ball. The work for string ensemble (violins I-III, viola, violoncello, bass) and children's instruments (trumpet in C, drum, 2 bells, triangle, ratchet and whip) , composed by Leopold Mozart, the father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is still popular today.
