Cantantibus organis, volume 1
Organ
The organ in the church year - Advent | Christmas The Organis Cantatibus series presents organ pieces in several booklets, one group of which is selected according to the festive circles and special themes of the church year; other groups with free preludes, interludes and postludes are arranged according to musical points of view. The level of difficulty of the selected pieces ranges from ‘easy’ to ‘quite difficult’. No special pedalling skills are required. Numerous pieces are for historical reasons, to be played entirely without pedal. The main emphasis of the selected pieces in this collection is on manual technique. Festive Music for Organ | Hans-Dieter Karras | Heinrichshofen publishing house
Hans-Dieter Karras
Festive Music for Organ
Organ
Pearls of classical music arranged for organ by Hans-Dieter Karras In 2021, the organ was named ‘Instrument of the Year’. To mark the occasion, Hans-Dieter Karras selected a compilation that is now being released as ‘Festliches für Orgel’ (Festive Music for Organ). It is deliberately not scientific or performance-oriented literature. Rather, it consists of arrangements of classical music masterpieces that are well suited to the organ. The selection covers a wide range, from Pierre de la Rue's ‘Tous les regres’ to Johann S. Bach's ‘Sinfonia zur Ratswahl-Kantate’, Charles Gounod's ‘March Nuptiale’ and Erkki Melartin's ‘Festmarsch aus der Ballettmusik zu Dornröschen’. A great addition to the repertoire for organists in concerts, occasional services and church services. The pieces are also available individually as PDF files. Click on the drop-down menu under ‘Issue (please select)’. Contents: - Sinfonia from the cantata ‘Wir danken dir, Gott’ (We thank thee, God) BWV 29 (J. S. Bach) - Symphony No. 3 (1. Allegro) (W. Boyce) - Chaconne (A. Durand) - March Nuptiale (Wedding March, composed in 1869) (Ch. Gounod) - Alla Hornpipe from ‘Water Music’, Suite No. 1 (G. Fr. Handel) - Festive March from the ballet music for ‘Sleeping Beauty’ op. 22 No. 30 (E. Melartin) - Intrada (Fanfare) (C. Monteverdi) - Tous les regres. Motet for four voices (P. de la Rue) - A Ground (In Gamut) (H. Purcell) - March in D major from the Piano Pieces, Op. 5, and the Méloplastiques for piano (W. I. De hillige Nacht - Ein norddeutsches Weihnachtsoratorium
Claus Woschenko
De hillige Nacht - Ein norddeutsches Weihnachtsoratorium
für 4 Soli, gemischten Chor, Orchester und Orgel
Besetzung: Soli (SABarB), 4-st. gem.
