The second volume is dedicated to learning to play in two parts. In the first part, children between the ages of five and eight gain confidence in dealing with time, rhythm and reading and writing notes through the playful development of the c‘-d’' range. On this basis, the 2nd part introduces polyphonic playing, extends the range further and offers the opportunity to familiarise themselves with different articulation possibilities, time signatures and keys. The child-friendly large notes of the first part gradually change into smaller and smaller notes until the usual proportions are finally reached. After completing both volumes, the young recorder player will have skills and knowledge that can be regarded as a versatile basis for further development.
