Das vorliegende Concerto ist eine Bearbeitung des Concerto B-Dur für Oboe, Violino concertante, Streicher und Continuo (RV 548) von Antonio Vivaldi. Es wurde Wert darauf gelegt, möglichst eng am Vivaldi'schen Original zu bleiben und dabei das Wesen der Originalkomposition mit auf die neue Instrumentierung zu übertragen. Es ergibt sich damit ein interessantes Abwechseln der beiden konzertierenden Instrumente Orgel und Trompete.

"Seckingers Kompositionen verraten ein fundiertes handwerkliches Können, Einfallsreichtum und stilistische Eigenständigkeit". Mit diesen Worten charakterisiert Monika Decker das Schaffen des Musikers in der wissenschaftlichen Abhandlung "Konrad Seckinger - ein zeitgenössischer Komponist".

Joseph Gabriel Rheinberger (1839-1901) was highly regarded as a church musician, counterpoint teacher and organ composer. The Cantilène in F major, originally composed for organ in 1887, is presented here in an arrangement for trumpet (oboe/violin) and organ. An arrangement of this composition for trumpet (oboe) and strings (publisher's number N 3866 ) is also available. This BRASS-TOTAL edition contains both a C and a Bb part for practical use. Hasso Gottfried Petri (1927–2013) was a German composer, music teacher and musicologist. He first studied school music and then obtained a doctorate in musicology. Petri devoted more than 35 years to researching folk songs and received support from all over the world. His ‘ Sonata ’ for trumpet and organ is appealing due to its easy to moderately difficult accessibility, making it ideal for music teachers, students and advanced musicians. Nicolas Le Bègue (1631–1702) is one of the most important organists and composers of the early French Baroque period. As court organist at the French royal court, he influenced an entire generation of musicians, including the young François Couperin. His works are characterised by delicate ornamentation, clear structures and a festive, meditative character. Nicolas Le Bègue published several Christmas pieces in his third ‘Livre d'Orgue’, which, with their lively alternation of folk melodies and spirited variations, are among the most beautiful of their kind. The three Christmas pieces presented here – originally composed for keyboard instruments – have been sensitively arranged for trumpet and organ by Eberhard Kraus (1931-2003). In this instrumentation, they unfold their full sonic splendour and are ideal for the musical accompaniment of festive church services or Christmas concerts. Content: 1. Puer nobis nascitur 2. Michel Corette (1707–1795), an important French composer, arranger, organist, and teacher of the Baroque era, is best known for his organ concertos, Op. 26, and his Christmas songs, known as Noëls, which are popular in France. The present “Suite in C major” comes from the fifth work for alto recorder (alternatively flute, oboe, treble viol and violin) and harpsichord and was first published in Paris (date unknown). Uwe Heger's arrangement for trumpet and organ (alternatively piano) allows for a fresh interpretation of the work and is suitable for both teaching and concerts. This edition offers musicians, teachers, and students a valuable opportunity to engage with the Baroque repertoire.

Chorales No. 2 to 7 of this work were composed during the 6th Bach Week of the Collegium Regensburg and premiered in 1980 by the Rolf Quinque Trumpet Ensemble (Munich) in Regensburg Cathedral. The aria and the opening march ( No. 1 and 8) were first performed in 1983 by the Augsburg Trumpet Ensemble during the 9th Bach Week, also in Regensburg Cathedral.
