Jazz Variationen II

Franziska Brütsch has already proven in the first volume "Jazz Variations on the Album for Youth" that jazz and Robert Schumann go very well together. The second volume again offers a colorful mixture of melodies from both departments of Schumann's masterpiece. Among them are, for example, Poor Child Blues (after "Armes Waisenkind") and Memory (after "Erinnerung"). Franziska Brütsch knows how to add sophisticated harmonies and rhythms to the pieces, so that Schumann's music is put in a completely new light by this challenging arrangement.
