An exciting selection of ragtimes by the great Scott Joplin arranged for violin and piano. The arrangements are kept simple so that even violinists with less playing experience can enjoy this lively music. The original length of the ragtimes has been cleverly shortened (two piano pages per ragtime) so that the pieces can be realised without time-consuming preparation. The piano part is kept just as simple in order to enable easy accompaniment in lessons. Chord symbols above the score can be used for improvisation or to accompany with the guitar.
Each solo instrument has the option of playing these ragtimes with traditional piano accompaniment or being accompanied by the CD.
The pieces on the CD are recorded with flute in the first version and can be played with piano accompaniment in the second version.
