Die vorliegenden Duette sind Bearbeitungen von Klavierstücken Handels. Für das Spiel auf Altblockflöten wurden die Stücke in günstige Tonarten transponiert und beide Stimmen dichter zusammen gelegt. Es entstanden Stimmkreuzungen, wie sie auch in originalen Duetten auftreten.

Die bolivianische Volksmusik zeichnet sich so wie die peruanische, argentinische und chilenische durch ihren wechselnden Rhythmus aus. 3/4- und 6/8-Takt werden in ein- und demselben Stück gern gewechselt und die Spieler sollen Freude an diesem Wechsel haben und ihn eventuell durch begleitende Schlaginstrumente betonen.
