2021 marks the 150th anniversary of Léon Jessel's birth.
To mark the occasion, Heinrichshofen Verlag is presenting Jessel's well-known works as well as some treasures from the archives, which are being made accessible to a wider audience for the first time in a long time.
The Christmas fantasy ‘Knecht Ruprecht is coming!’ musically depicts how St Nicholas' helper comes out of the forest and does not punish but brings presents. The gift-giving is heralded by bells and culminates in ‘Silent Night, Holy Night’. Knecht Ruprecht then leaves again and stomps down the stairs at the end. An entertaining and at the same time highly romantic Christmas music.
