Variations on a Christmas carol by Cesar Bresgen
Friedrich Zipp (1914–1997) was a German organist, composer, and music teacher.
His oeuvre includes numerous instrumental and choral works, many of which have a spiritual or didactic background.
“Knecht Ruprecht aus dem Walde” is the title of a sheet music edition featuring variations on a Christmas carol originally composed by
Cesar Bresgen. Friedrich Zipp created arrangements of this piece, in this version for piano four hands.
The edition comprises 12 pages and is of medium difficulty, making it easy to play even for experienced amateurs. It is used in
music schools, ensembles, and in churches.
