for organ and a melodic instrument The Regensburg composer, church musician and organist Eberhard Kraus (1931–2003) is one of the most important representatives of 20th-century Catholic church music in southern Germany. As cathedral organist at St. Peter's in Regensburg and as a lecturer and professor, he left his mark on the musical life of his hometown and far beyond for decades. These seven selected choral arrangements can be played individually, in any combination or in the order presented here. In addition to concert performances, they are also intended for use in liturgy. The parts are easy to moderately difficult and are also suitable as additions to programmes of brass and organ works for ensembles and soloists. Content: 1. This work by Eberhard Kraus was composed for Rolf Quinque, former principal trumpeter of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and is primarily intended for high trumpet in combination with organ . In addition to concert performances, it is also intended for liturgical use in both Christian denominations. Depending on the character, compositional structure and content of the individual chorales, variable instrumentation is possible. Thus, depending on the musical requirements, other melody instruments can be used instead of the trumpet.
