The work for string ensemble (violins I-III, viola, violoncello,bass) and children's instruments (trumpet in C, drum, 2 bells, triangle, ratchet and whip ), composed by Leopold Mozart, the father of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, is still popular today. Werner Heider wrote his 5th string quartet in 2021. In classical string quartet instrumentation, it comprises three movements whose titles are the programme: 1st ‘Silenzio con anima’, 2nd ‘Rhythms’ and 3rd ‘Two fifths plus chorale’. The string quartet has a duration of 12 minutes and is aimed at experienced string players.
