6 Aufzugsmusiken from Schnaitsee (around 1800)

According to oral sources, the 6 Aufzugsmusiken, which are presented here for the first time as a complete practical edition, originate from the church of Schnaitsee in Upper Bavaria; the composer is anonymous. They are easy, two-part pieces which were played by the town pipers at secular or religious festivals until the last century. The arrangements are unique in the old trumpet literature, as they contain both the trumpet tuning and instrumentation instructions.
