From G. Chr. Schemelli's Musical Hymnal
The collection Advent and Christmas Carols from Schemelli's Hymnal, edited by Ilse Hechler, comprises Christmas chorales and songs from Johann Sebastian Bach's circle, originally published in Schemelli's Hymnal (Leipzig, 1736). In this edition, they are arranged for variable instrumentation such as recorders, strings, voice, and piano in three-part settings.
