The aim of Let's rag... is to make ragtime music accessible to a large number of instrumentalists. The choice of easy-to-play keys and the shortening of the original length to a manageable two piano pages per ragtime allows players to realise these arrangements without time-consuming preparation. The pieces on the CD are recorded with flute in the first version and can be played with piano accompaniment in the second version. Die vorliegende Triosonate gehört zu den ganz wenigen Kammermusikwerken des Hochbarock, die Blockflöte und Fagott miteinander vereinen. Wenngleich in dieser Komposition eine "konventionelle" Tonsprache nicht zu verkennen ist, gelingt es dem Komponisten, beide Instrumente in schöner Gleichberechtigung gegen- und miteinander konzertieren zu lassen, ohne allzu hohe technische Anforderungen zu stellen.
