Easy pieces for string orchestra

Playing together with others not only promotes musical skills. Vladimir Rivkin composed these pieces for an orchestra of pupils in their first and second years of lessons. Because the parts are kept simple – all pieces can be played in first position – the pupils can concentrate on playing together, which is often a great challenge for beginners. Each piece includes a solo section for all instruments. The colourful mix of pieces with titles such as ‘At the Middle Age Market’ and ‘Trolls’ also stimulates the imagination.
